| Know someone who is getting married
soon? Then it may be time to plan a party! Bridal Shower parties can be a great way to gather close friends of the bride together
to lavish her with presents. The Maid of Honor or bridesmaids generally
plan the shower. Because so many people from close circles will
be attending, arrangements have to be made very carefully. All of
the guest should feel welcome and eager to be involved in the party
events. Some things to consider when planning include a theme, games,
decorations, invitations, and the menu. These are just a few of
the things you’ll have to think about for the party. For the
purposes of a Bridal Shower Party at home, take a look at these
suggestions for your feast!
Of course, you’ll want to choose the different course combinations
yourself to best accommodate the party and your own taste. If you’re
thinking seafood for appetizers, you can serve either Shrimp Canapés
or Crab Cakes. If you’re aiming for vegetarian, try the Roasted
Pepper and Basil Skewers or some Cheese Calzones. Or, there’s
always Mini Sandwiches, Favorite Topped Deviled Eggs, or Mini Ham.
Mix it up and try one from each category. Different people have
different preferences, and a mixture of appetizers will satisfy
many people.
For the main course, you could go with chicken, steak, pasta, or
fish. Spaghetti Carbonara is an easy dish to prepare, but sure to
be a crowd pleaser. For more sophisticated tastes, perhaps a Salmon
dish with Leek Cream would be better suited. If the bride is a fan
of poultry, the Bruschetta ‘n Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts
might go over very well. Or go all out with the Orange Pepper Steak!
Add flair to your main course with a delectable side dish! For salads,
you could choose either the classic California Cobb or a lively
tomato and cucumber salad. Vegetable dishes to compliment your meal
could include roasted red potatoes with bacon and cheese, or perhaps
the Cheesy Miracle asparagus.
As for desserts, if you know the bride’s favorite, it may
be best to go with that. However, if you’re looking for a
few suggestions, try these delicious options: lemon squares, chocolate-dipped
strawberries, carrot ginger cupcakes, Angel Lush, Baker’s
Chocolate and Mocha Sweethearts, mini Boston cream pies, strawberry
mousse, or cream puffs.
Let’s not forget beverages. If you plan on serving alcohol,
there are various drink recipes that may suit your needs. However,
this may be a party at which you don’t want to serve beer
or liquor. A few non-alcoholic drink suggestions to liven up the
party are Golden Glow Punch, mock Mimosas, Sunshine Swizzle Punch,
or Lemony Iced Tea.
Of course, the final decisions will depend on your own opinion and
your own budget. With these suggestions, you’re sure to put
together something that will work with both. Try out small portions
of the recipes for yourself and see what you like, or have a few
friends do a taste test and help you decide. Once the menu is out
of the way, you can cross one thing off your party-planning list
and move on to the next. Good luck throwing a wonderful Bridal Shower
Party!
